Hannah Taylor...

Hannah Taylor has been working in music with young children since 1997. A music graduate, she began her career in arts administration, concert promotion and contemporary music recording, and then became a full-time mother at the birth of her first child. She then co-founded and ran Letchworth Pre-School Music Club - the first of its kind in the town - before moving into part-time Primary music teaching (Early Years through Key Stage 2) in 2007.

Hannah took her three sons to Play Music Play classes when they were babies, and all three are now very enthusiastic and accomplished musicians: she is a firm believer that they had the best start! She is a singer, clarinettist and pianist, and is passionate about enabling people to realise their natural musical potential. This interest led her to start training as a Music Therapist with Nordoff Robbins (www.nordoff-robbins.org.uk) in September 2016, and for the remainder of the course she will be staying with Play Music Play to provide cover when necessary but not run her own separate classes. We will hopefully be inviting her as a guest speaker at our training events to pass on some of her new-found knowledge and skills.

All teachers with Play Music Play are trained and experienced to work with young children. Whilst they are all very much part of a team they work as independent teachers passionate about music making with the very young. Read about the other teachers...

All teachers participate in regular professional development and we consider our practice very much in line with current research and teaching trends.
